EU & CELAC Science, Technology & Innovation Cooperation
EU-CELAC Science, Technology and Innovation cooperation
The European Union (EU) and the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) share a strategic bi-regional partnership, which was launched in 1999 and stepped up significantly in the recent years. The two regions co-operate closely at international level across a broad range of issues and maintain an intensive political dialogue at all levels.
The bi-regional political dialogue takes place on a wide range of issues including research and innovation as well as other global issues. Additionally, cooperation programmes and projects are being carried out in many fields to support this dialogue.
