FinCEAL Plus has opened a Targeted Travel Grant Call to support the participation of a maximum of 6 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions interested in attending the Info Day on the 2017 calls for proposals of Horizon 2020's Societal Challenge 5 "Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials", 14th September in Brussels.

FinCEAL Plus has opened a Targeted Travel Grant Call to support the participation of a maximum of 6 experts from Finnish universities or research institutions interested in attending the Info Day on the 2017 calls for proposals of Horizon 2020's Societal Challenge 5 "Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials", 14th September in Brussels.
Information on the Travel Grants
The
call is directed to experts focusing on any of the three FinCEAL Plus regions: Africa,
Asia and/or the LAC region. Two experts focusing on each region will be funded.
Please note that this call is for researchers residing in Finland only, and only
for this particular event. Interested researchers should send a short description
(no more than one page) detailing their interest in the event and how it
relates to your work. Clear interest in applying for a H2020 SC5 call together
with partners from Africa, Asia and/or Latin America and the Caribbean call in
question should be shown. Please note that applicants with a focus purely in
European cooperation do not qualify for the grant. A CV or link to your profile
should also be included.
The maximum individual grant is 800€ and can be used
to cover travel, accommodation, and daily allowances. Applicants from outside
the metropolitan Helsinki area can receive max. 100€ in addition to the grant to
cover their travel expenses within Finland. The deadline for applications is August 5th, 2016. All

LAC-related applications to Kajsa Ekroos, kajsa.ekroos[at]helsinki.fi.

on the event
The European Commission is organising an Information
Day to present the following calls
for proposals to be launched in autumn 2016:
- the "Greening
the Economy" call for proposals,
- the
circular economy sub-call of "Industry
2020 in the Circular Economy", and
- related
call topics on "Smart
and Sustainable Cities", "Sustainable
Food Security – Resilient and resource-efficient value chains" and "Blue
Growth – Demonstrating an Ocean of Opportunities".
Representatives of the research community, SME
associations, businesses, industry and European institutions are invited to
join the event on Wednesday, 14 September 2016 in the European Commission's
Charlemagne building, Rue de la Loi 170, Brussels.
