FinCEAL Plus BRIDGES Asia Grantees to AESCON - Singapore Selected!
FinCEAL Plus BRIDGES Asia Funds a Delegation of 3 to the Asia-Europe Sustainable Connectivity Scientific Conference (AESCON) 26-28 February 2020 in Singapore.
FinCEAL+ BRIDGES Asia will support a delegation of 3 researchers from Finland to the upcoming Asia-Europe Sustainable Connectivity Scientific Conference (AESCON). The delegation was selected through a BRIDGES Asia Travel Grant call for the event. AESCON is the first scientific conference on Asia-Europe sustainable connectivity, bringing together researchers and policy analysts working in the field of international connectivity, globalization and their impacts on sustainable development, with a particular focus on Asia-Europe connections.
Targeted Travel Grant Call for AESCON
The BRIDGES Travel Grant Call for AESCON was launched in December 2019.The call received applications from a variety of Finnish Higher Education Institutions; 11 universities, 1 independent research institution and 1 university of applied sciences. In total, the call received 13 applications all fulfilling the minimum requirements of the call. The applications were very good in quality which made the available funds highly competitive. After thorough evaluation, FinCEAL+ BRIDGES Asia awarded 3 Travel Grants.
The criteria for selecting grant recipients:
- are actively working with partners from Asia
- have relevant knowledge and interest to Asia-Europe sustainable connectivity and research related to the topics of sustainable development goals
- be willing to share key messages with the wider Finnish scientific community
