UniPID Virtual Studies Call for Course Proposals 2024

The annual UniPID call for course proposal is opening earlier this year! Should you have any ideas of virtual studies addressing topics on sustainable development and global challenges? Virtual Studies Call for Course Proposal 2024

The 2024 Call for Proposals aims to fund courses that contribute to and expand the themes and overall offering of UniPID's Virtual Studies programme. Course proposals for new courses as well as for updating existing UniPID courses are welcome.

UniPID welcomes proposals that address challenges on sustainable development and Global South perspectives, including but not limited to the following themes: academic freedom, indigenous/local communities, development economics, local initiatives on development, decolonial studies, global health, social protection systems, human rights, etc. We would also encourage proponents to present proposals with a strong interdisciplinary approach.

UniPID welcomes course proposals produced and designed in collaboration with partner Universities in the Global South. We strongly suggest taking into consideration practical issues such as the schedule of the course, access to internet connection and teaching material, as well as the timetable of the sessions, so that it is equally convenient for all the partners involved.

• New UniPID Course

A sum of up to 6 500 € per course is available from UniPID for the creation and provision of a new online course. Any course proposal that adheres to the UniPID Virtual Studies learning objectives is eligible to apply.

• Updating an existing UniPID course

A sum of up to 4 500 € per course is available from UniPID for updating a course that has been offered at least 3 times as a part of the UniPID Virtual Studies syllabus.

A signed contract with UniPID requires three semesters of teaching. To ensure sufficient course offering in the upcoming years, UniPID encourages courses to be offered across three consecutive academic years (instead of three consecutive semesters) and to include at least 50 UniPID students per course.

The call is open until 5 December 2023 at 23.59. The results will be announced by the end of January 2024 at the latest.
