UniPID organization structure

UniPID organization and management

Currently, the UniPID network has nine Finnish member universities, who have signed the UniPID Network Agreement.

The official decision-making body of the network is the UniPID Board, which has nominated members and vice-members from each member university. In addition, observer members and vice-members are nominated by the Finnish Society for Development Research(FSDR), the National Union of University Students in Finland (SYL), and Institute for Development Economics Research (UNU-WIDER).

The UniPID Board gathers a distinguished and multidisciplinary group of Finnish experts on development research, development cooperation, and academic partnerships with the Global South.

In addition to the Board, member universities and vice members have nominated UniPID contact people, who are administrative staff that support communications and the virtual studies programme and guarantee easy communication between the network and the member universities.

The network is coordinated by the Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry of the University of Helsinki.
